9 month check up

Just for the record and for my memory Kate had her 9 month check up last week and it went great. She got her first flu shot and took it like a champ...barely even cried for a second! She's in the 45th percentile for weight and head and >95th percentile for length. She's actually slowed down a bit on the length since at 6 months she was off the charts!

Kate you are no longer my laid back baby...you are crawling and getting into everything. You bring smiles from everyone around you just by batting those long eyelashes that reveal your big dark blue eyes (we're still not sure what to call your eye color...it's a mix of blue and brown really). You are pulling up on things but haven't quite come to a full standing position. You love to play peek-a-boo, even with strangers in the store particularly the checkout person. The little bit of hair you have is strawberry blonde and wispy just like your Momma's was...but you have your Daddy's cowlick in the back which makes your hair stand up just a bit. You have your routine down and like to stick with it as much as possible. You take 2 naps during the day and go to bed around 7:30pm and wake up between 7:30-8:30am. You drink about 30 ounces and eat solids 3 times a day. We think we see a top tooth coming in and we're pretty sure we're going to see another pearly white very soon. You say Momma and Dada...you've been on a kick with Dada more lately.

Kate you are a joy and you make my job as your Momma so much fun. I love our days together. I love how I feel like we communicate yet your vocabularly is very limited. You make me a proud Momma, but we can't leave Daddy out. He would jump over the moon for you and loves you to "bits and pieces". It brings the biggest smile on his face to see you crawl as fast as you can to him when he comes home from work. You know his voice even when he's not around...you hear his voice on the answer machine and you start looking for him. We love you Katerbug.
