We had a great start to the new year. Chris worked the weekend but at night he was off so we let Kate hang out with a babysitter while we went out for a dinner at the John Davenport restaurant. It was delicious and the view was beautiful! We had a window seat on the 19th floor overlooking the green in downtown New Haven. We enjoyed our meal and enjoyed being able to enjoy a leisurely dinner without having to keep track of a certain little one. :)

We have our c-section date scheduled so we now know the most likely birthday for our little man...unless he decides to make an appearance earlier we will get to meet Benjamin Brown Ross on Monday, February 7! So now we have a 5 week stretch of nesting and waiting. I remember this calm before the storm well with Kate. There's just a few things we need to do before he comes but I think we're ready...as ready as we can be!

yes, enjoy the calm before the storm! but a sweet storm! and you'll be surprised how much easier it is the 2nd time around! still exhausting though!
