Oh my stars...18 months old Kate!

Dear Kate,

You are my 18-month old mini-me with just those right touches of your Daddy. Each day you impress me with how much you're picking up and learning. You melt my heart with each hug, you bring a smile to my face with each kiss, and you make me want to slow down time so I can truly savor these moments with you. You love the outdoors, dogs, stairs, slides, swings, dancing (to music I can hear and sometimes I know you have a tune in your head), and exploring your world. You are starting to repeat more and more words. You understand SO much and that reminds me daily how carefully we need to protect your precious eyes and ears. You are soaking everything up and even more we don't realize.

At your 18 month check up you were 23 lbs 8 ozs, 40th percentile. You still look like you will be taller than your Momma, because you're in the 90th percentile for height, 33.5". Your head circumference is in the 20th percentile. This doctor visit you remembered your doctor, you remembered you weren't a fan because last time he gave you shots and poked around your ears. But you survived your shots and were worn out when it was all said and done. You have 4 teeth coming in now, so the grand total is 16 chompers.

You are a very social girl, but have an awareness of strangers and stick close to Momma when you're unsure of someone. You LOVE Momma's friends though, Mrs. Brooke, Mrs. Alexandra, Mrs. Pam, Miss Kay, and Miss Tina are all sweet ladies that bring a smile to your face. You are blowing kisses when I say "I love you".

We love you Kate and are blessed to be given a gift as precious as you. We continue to pray you know your Savior and seek His wisdom.
