Memorial Day Weekend

We've had a great Memorial Day Weekend. We did a lot of fun things this weekend, but never was it far from my mind the men and women who help us to have this freedom. Having my brother, Andrew in the Marines has made us appreciate the sacrifice so many make to keep our country safe.
Our weekend was busy but really fun, we had 3 cookouts and the weather worked in our favor. Saturday we went up to the Boston area, really Nashua, NH, to see some high school friends who were in town for the Red Sox game. It was great seeing everyone and catching up. They all seemed to enjoy meeting Kate and I have to say Kate did really great. She was a little overwhelmed at first seeing so many people who were focused on her but she quickly got back to her happy self. I'm so disappointed I didn't get any pictures on Saturday! Sunday we had our own little cookout with the Crockett's and had an early dinner since we both have babies. The rain held off until right after we finished dessert so we were able to enjoy our new patio set as we listened to the thunder roll in. Then, today we had a cookout at one of Chris' attendings' house with his fellow residents. We had a fantastic time and all the babies enjoyed watching and figuring each other out. Chris really works with a great group and they all get along so well.

The warm weather has been so nice, we're thoroughly taking advantage since it seems like we were in hibernation these past few months. We've almost been in Connecticut a year and I have to say God has blessed us and we can see the beauty in where He's placed us for this chapter in our lives. For grandparents and those who want to see Kate we have oodles of pictures below...enjoy!
