The days are getting longer...

One thing we've had to adjust to is how soon the sun goes down in the evening. I can tell we're slowly getting closer to spring and summer because the days are getting a little longer each day. The sun goes down around 4:30 and naturally it starts to get even colder. On top of that, Chris is on a rotation until March that puts him driving roundtrip 2 hours. Poor guy, he doesn't often see the light of day during the week.

This weekend was great, Kate attended her first baby shower. It was for one of the many women in our circle of friends that is pregnant. On Saturday we decided to go for a drive in search of a smoothie. You would think that wouldn't be so hard to find...but we found one in Fairfield (about 35 mintues from our house).

Kate's doing so great! She's smiling and cooing all the time. She's learning how to grab a hold of her toys and has figured out that she's the one making her toy rattle. It's so fun to watch her discover new things and figure things out. She's been sleeping really well too, I'm almost afraid to jinx it...she slept Saturday and Sunday nights from about 10pm to 4-5am and then goes back down until about 8am. We enjoyed catching up on our sleep!

Sarah, you can get a GREAT smoothie at Edge of the Woods on Whalley Ave. It's a great little market for local produce (at nice prices), health foods, baked goods and (my favorite) SMOOTHIES! Next time I hope you won't have to drive so far!
