We are in the last week we have here in Connecticut before Christmas because soon we'll be in Arkansas for a much needed time with family. To be honest, I haven't been to Arkansas since June and since then we have interviewed and accepted a position back in Arkansas. So this will be a chance for me feel the realness of being back "home". Don't get me wrong, SUPER excited about being in Arkansas again but it's still not feeling real to me. I think after Christmas thinks will get busy with preparation to move and such...then it will feel VERY real.
But for the time being we have been enjoying some great time as a family, decorating our tree, seeing Santa, hanging stockings, baking cookies, but most importantly explaining and trying to emphasize the true reason for the season....our Lord's birth! As Kate says, "Haweuyah!!!" (translation, Hallelujah!!!)
He surprised me with how long he kept this hat on as he crawled around the house after Kate. My own little teddy bear.
Kate got me carnations when she went with her Daddy to the store...he said it was all her idea too!
Our weather in Connecticut has been so crazy! We had above average temperatures around Thanksgiving and just now it's actually getting chilly. I'm not complaining though! When we are homebound because of snow I'll be wishing for these warmer days.
First goose egg....he is a very on-the-go little guy. Of course he's rough and tumble and not much can get him down.
Poor Benjamin, these next pictures show how a photo session usually goes with our kiddos. Kate was trying to get Benjamin to stay still and look at the camera. :) Thankfully he doesn't mind her messing with him, in fact I think he thoroughly enjoys it.
Right after the photographer stopped shooting Benjamin gave us a good boohoo face. He finally figured out who was holding him and was a little unsure. He does take his cues from his big sister though, so since she was fine he was too for the most part.
Chris has a fancy camera he's enjoying playing with...
