Days with Kate are busy…hence my lack of time to blog. I heard someone say that the days are long but the years are short. That really seems to be true for us. The days are long but full of fun memories and moments that put a smile on my face. Kate's into everything these days. She loves meeting new people but has moments of shyness. Everyday the highlight is seeing her excitement to have her Daddy home. She is understanding more and more but not quite to the point where she can express what she wants and thinks. She eats like a champ and takes a great afternoon nap that this Momma is VERY grateful for. She loves to read, her favorite book is The Cat in the Hat. She knows where her belly, head, mouth, and sometimes nose are. She loves to say jump and then proceed to bounce. She dances to the music on her toys…I love to watch her dance because she's not dancing for anyone but the pure joy of movement. She's become so active that pictures are far and few between…especially ones where she actually will look at the camera. She blows kisses, even makes the sound. Her favorite buddy is her bear. She cuddles him and looks for him when he's not around. You will most likely find him tucked into the crook of her left arm as she toddles around the house. She loves on him and feeds him…it's really a sweet friendship between these two. Lord, please never let us lose that bear! :)
Chris and Kate had an entire day just the two of them this past Saturday. I went to the Beth Moore simulcast with a friend…so good by the way! Chris and Kate had a ball though! It was the first time for him to be with Kate by himself for that long and he did great and I knew he would.
