Christmas this year was quite eventful! We enjoyed staying at home for the actual holiday and joining our church for their Christmas Even service and Christmas Day itself was pretty low key with opening presents and eating...oh and putting Benjamin in time out about 10 times in the morning alone. He's at that stage...I'm just glad time out seems to work.
Then we went to bed Christmas night and around 11pm the power went out. It was freezing the next morning but not unbearable. By noon we were starting to see Benjamin's lips turn blue even with layers upon layers on him. We started thinking about where we could stay and calling hotels. The only hotel we found a room in was the Peabody and wouldn't you know, Christmas Day they had two fires in their kitchen! Maybe that's why they had rooms still available? So we stayed there Wednesday night. Thursday Chris worked and discovered he wouldn't have to go into work on Friday so we made a rather last minute decision to shoot on up to Fayetteville for a long weekend. By Friday night we had power restored to our house so all in all it wasn't too bad but when we had left our house on Thursday night it was down to 42 degrees and getting colder. We are so thankful to have had a hotel room to stay in and grandparents to visit.
Here are the MANY pictures from the end of December 2012.
