Benjamin's 11 months

Benjamin you are getting to be such a little boy and slowly growing away from being my baby.  You haven't changed a bunch physically since 10 months but are starting to get an opinion of your own.  You are still very happy for the most part but I can also tell you get frustrated when something gets taken away or when you can't quite say what you want to say.  You love your Daddy something fierce these days.  When he comes home you crawl as fast as you can to the door and bounce on your bottom and clap until he picks you up. You are sleeping better for your afternoon naps but we still need to work on getting you to fall asleep without being nursed.  This is a big one and tough but we're trying to tackle it.  Here are details about you at 11 months:

• We weighed you at home and you seem to weigh about 22 lbs which is 70th percentile according to the WHO and by the CDC that puts you right at about 50th percentile.  I haven't measured your length but you definitely wear 12-18 month clothes easily and 6-12 months is a little too long.  
• You wear size 3 diapers
• You are moving towards taking one long nap in the afternoon...no complaints from me in that department.
• You eat solids quite well but you don't like fruit unless it's pureed.  I think the slippery-ness of the fruit deters your interest.  You love cheerios, grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, applesauce, crackers, cheese sticks, chicken nuggets, and deli meat. You are a protein and carb little boy.  
• You don't use many words but you do say Mama and Dada.  Sometimes I think you say "Hey Dada!"  You also like to tickle, "Tickticktick" as you act like you're trying to tickle one of us.  You like to imitate sounds like kissing and clicking with your tongue.  Speaking of tongue you just recently discovered your tongue and find it fascinating!
• You do not like to ride in the car in the dark...otherwise you're fine in the car.  
• You aren't quite taking steps on your own but you cruise everywhere and at times look like you want to let go and walk but then are cautious and get down to crawl.
